There’s a little too much happening in life at the mo, which makes me miss hanging out with you. So this early morning, I’ve stolen a few minutes to chat to you lovelies. Ahhh yes. I feel better already. There’s also too much to update you on, so it warranted this news update post. I can’t wait to tell you about how you can join this year’s Scoop Food Revolution Day activity on May 16.
Scoop Subs get set to takeover the social media highway
After a very difficult process, we narrowed down our applicants and have just kicked off with our brand new, 6 Scoop Subs who will be on board for the next 6 months. Some of the applications were incredibly creative and included turning a CV into a nutrition panel and writing a mock blog post, laid out on our template! Sorry to those who missed out this round. Really sorry. Can’t you tell, I hate letting people down?
Our Subs will be busy behind the scenes and leaving daily updates over on the Scoop Nutrition Facebook page – have you “liked” us yet? I can’t wait to introduce you to them more. In the meantime you can check out their bios by clicking on the top 6 photos here.
Food Revolution Day is doing it for the kids on May 16
We are so proud to be Food Revolution Day Ambassadors for Melbourne. To celebrate this year’s Food Revolution Day, Jamie will be leading the biggest-ever live cooking lesson streamed to schools around the world and he wants you to join in with us. He’ll be making a nutritious rainbow salad wrap, especially chosen with kids in mind, so that everyone can get involved. Here’s the recipe to get you thinking: Jamie Oliver Food Revolution Day Rainbow salad wrap. But we’ll be sharing many more options in a post a little later.
The aim is to get a million kids cooking on the big day and, with your help, we can make this happen! Miss 11 is in with her friends and blog – more on that a little later. She’ll be making up the wrap with me beforehand and packing it in her lunchbox. Master 9? Hmmm.

2. Cook a lunchbox friendly item with them in the lead up to May 16.
