We’re back. And had a glow up.

Hello. Hi. You hoo? Are you there?
It’s been a bit since I’ve chatted to you from Scoop Nutrition. And to be honest I nearly didn’t. But if you’re reading this I’m thrilled.

The Scoop on Nutrition blog launched eons ago in the dark galaxy of blogging in 2010 and carried a vibrant community through ten years of award winning credible content and oh so many good times. We self published over 500 evidenced based posts featuring dietitians and registered nutritionists. Helped many launch their social media careers via the internship program Sub of the Month. Built a Storehouse blog directory and awards program endorsed by the Nutrition Society of Australia and Dietitians Australia in partnership with Bite Communications and Nuts for Life (forever grateful to Lisa Yates and Andrea Brydges). Plus developed international practice guidelines and ran a gazillion conference workshops trying to encourage everyone to “Dial into the digital age”.

We made such an impact that 10 years of Scoop Nutrition web archives are now fully digitized at the National Library Trove for future scholars to scroll and explore. In nutrition science, it’s important to move forward by looking back. And I’d like to think that we helped ensure that nutrition professionals in Australia punch above their weight on social

media.

Scoop Nutrition is also my consulting business where I build on thirty years experience in food, nutrition and dietetics providing strategic direction and lending support to brands, campaigns, social enterprises, peak bodies and food focused communication.

In the last five years I have moved into an academic role helping drive culinary nutrition as a new field of practice and leading our national culinary nutrition teaching, research and stakeholder engagement at ACU

So. With huge help and a nudge from my friends at Santelogic Scoop Nutrition has had a glow up. And is now relaunching as my food diary with the same purpose, sharing hot news bites and a healthy serve of what’s in flavour.

If you were part of the OG wild ride, gosh I’d love you to say hi below and describe our connection or recount a story. And if you are new here, tell me about you. If you want to hear what’s trending in my food travels sign up on our contacts for updates or just see you over on the gram. I’d love to stay connected.
